Gather us in 'Satsang'
"A coming together in a gathering of spiritual friendship to explore what it means to be a fulfilled human being, living the authentic openness of one's true nature - with the natural freedom and contentment that is our birthright. For most of us, this may include a process of unlearning,
or overcoming our conditioning, as well as exploring new ways of experience"
A PEEK INTO THE IMPACT TRIBE
DARE TO SEE THE WORLD WITH DIFFERENT EYES
For so long, fear, money, individualism, and external successes have dominated our lives. We disconnected from ourselves and from nature, we looked for fulfillment in all the wrong places. We have forgotten that the answers and joy have been within us all along.
It is time to reconnect and realign. It is time to shape a world characterised by love, inner wisdom & light, empathy, purpose, and community.
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME, BE PART OF THE SHIFT
Allow the sacred Himalayas, the high energy charge, the Nepali spirituality & like-minded individuals of your tribe to guide you in making this shift. Are you ready to listen to your deepest desires, your soul's mission(s) and follow a path that truly aligns with who you truly are?
('How?' you might wonder, find out more by watching our documentary below)
WATCH TALES OF IMPACT
"THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF, IS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS"
We believe that we are here on earth, with a mission, we are here to do good. More and more people are waking up to this calling and are looking for ways to create a life of purpose & meaning, based on their own unique traits & inner wisdom. We have created a travel experience that helps you listen to that inner wisdom, that inner compass. However, learning to work with a practical framework to actually start making an impact (beyond the expedition), is often a missing piece on this journey. That is why we as Imagineers, want to give you the gift that keeps on giving: your framework for impact & contribution. During a local impact project, which flows into your 3-week adventure, you will, together with your tribe members, contribute your own unique traits, to the empowerment of local communities (a Mastermind, for the good of all!). We will guide you through this process by facilitating an Imagineering process, in which you will experiment with the underlying principles of this social innovation method, such as co-creation, empathy, creativity, and empowerment.
ARE WE A MATCH?
It does not matter where you are in your process, because we believe you are right where you are supposed to be. But you must be willing to surrender to the following:
Dare to see the world with different eyes
This means being open to unlearn what you thought was true about your inner and outer world. Try to postpone judgement and be open enough so a new world can open herself to you
The desire to create a meaningful life
We like to believe that we are here to do good, to live meaningful lives, to leave a positive impact. We are looking for people who resonate with this belief and are ready to explore their own soul's mission(s)
Co-create social impact
During the expedition, we collaborate with local communities. We don't preach, we are not looking to fix what is broken. Instead, we learn from and with each other, we co-create bright futures. This asks for a humble and maybe unfamiliar approach. This also allows you to immerse yourself into a truly authentic (travel) experience and in the Nepali culture.
A safe space for your tribe
Everyone has their own process, their own journey towards healing & alignment. This is not just a crazy fun adventure, it's also a deep-dive into yourself. A safe space and group support encourage this process. Thus, you must be willing to respect, support and connect with others. Tribe life is all about connection and supporting each other's growth.
Pushing your boundaries
We like to experiment with testing boundaries and overcoming fears. That is why we undertake physical and emotional challenging activities, such as a 6-day trekking in the Himalayas, going up to 4065m. Disclaimer: This is tough!! If you want to join our adventure, you must be physically fit enough!
Ready to have lots of fun!
We will make sure we will create a fine balance between fun, depth & adventure, are you ready?!
6 DAY TREKKING (SEE VIDEO)
Our trekking will take you to areas which are hardly visited by tourists, allowing you to discover authentic Nepal and have plenty of opportunities to meet friendly locals. The Buddhist culture lives within the landscape and is found in the many monasteries, some of which are of ancient origin. We will spend our nights at local teahouses, discovering lovely foods and people. This trekking also allows for deep personal reflection during a silent trekking day, meditations and personal growth workshops outlooking the Himalayan mountains! Disclaimer: as metnioned above, this trekking truly means going back to the basics, no warm showers, soft beds, phone connection and sometimes no electricity. But on the other hand: lots of love and warmth from the group, reconnecting with nature and yourself, pushing your boundaries, and experiencing the healing power of the sacred Himalayas!
ROADTRIPPING NEPAL! (SEE VIDEO)
We will kick off the expedition in Kathmandu, where we will spend a fair amount of our time collaborating with our local partners. We will stay in several areas within Kathmandu Valley, such as Khahare & Patan. Our trekking will be in the area of Solukhumbu, in East Nepal. We will make our way to Pokhara, a summery lake district, in central Nepal to celebrate Holi and immerse ourselves into the alignment retreat.
LOCAL FESTIVALS (SEE VIDEO)
During the expedition (Edition 1 2021 edition), two of the biggest spiritual festivals will take place in Nepal. Holi, which celebrates the victory from good over evil and the coming of spring. And Maha Shivaratri, which marks remembrance of overcoming darkness and ignorance in the world. During this day, the culture observes the day by remembering Shiva and changing prayers, fasting, doing yoga, and meditating. (see video) We will update you on any other national festivals may any changes occur.
CEREMONIES, YOGA & ALIGNMENT RETREAT
Besides integrating yoga and meditation in our daily routine, we have designed a 3-day healing retreat towards the end of the expedition as well. This will allow you do more inner work & healing and integrate new insights & shifts beyond the expedition. We will do this through holotropic breathing, chanting, sound-healing, integration workshops & several meditation & yoga practices. We also found that our daily sharing circles and campfire ceremonies offer a lot of support, insight, and connection throughout the whole expedition.
SERENDIPITY (SEE VIDEO)
Because of the impact project and connection to local partners, you will have the opportunity to really be a part of the Nepali world and traditions. In the last edition, we have meditated with monks, had lots of local gypsy swing nights, visited several remote villages and monasteries, and made a lot of friends all over Nepal. We can not really predict in what ways you will be able to immerse yourself this time, but we can promise you, it will be authentic, and unexpected. This is not a ''set-copy-paste-program" allow yourself to enjoy the serendipity of it all!

Many restrictions in Nepal have been lifted since July / August. The travel ban has been lifted, and trekking companies, restaurants, and hotels can continue their activities. (official website for most recent updates) Thus, we have decided to continue designing and planning our expeditions, however, we want to guarantee a total refund or voucher in case of a travel ban and/or if risky local circumstances occur. Tribe sharing memorable moments
"Everyone came out changed, if there is one way to change eleven people in three weeks, in my preliminary perspective, it has to be in Nepal, it has to be in three weeks, and it has to be led by Carlijn and Lieke and The Impact Expedition”
Casey Timmins, tribe member 2020
